It’s Black Friday and we all know what that means: Ridiculous sales, and bargains to be had!
Cameras, ebooks, video courses, memory, and more. They’re all listed below.
I thought you might want some help finding the best deals available, without wasting your money on gear that you don’t need, or gear that won’t last.
I’ve made the mistake of buying the cheapest photography gear available in the past, but that only ever came back to bite me. I’ve bought a lot of stuff twice.
I won’t bang on about it here, because I don’t want to bore you, but if you’re looking for some expert buying advice, check out these three article:

- My Big Selection of Recommended Photography Gear (I’m always looking for suggestions btw)
Now for some special offers.
The Canon PowerShot S100 is a cracking little point-and-shoot camera, and today it’s only $229 and it comes with a free 8GB memory card. That’s a saving of over $200.
Trey Ratcliff over at Stuck In Customs is having a big Black Friday sale on his ebooks and video courses. You can get 30% off a bunch of products, by using the discount code ‘BlackFriday30′. He’s the man to go to if you’re looking to learn HDR.
Transcend (the brand I use) 32GB SD card is 38% off, at only $20. That’s cheaper than Adorama or B&H.
Sony NEX-5RK has $100 off today on Amazon.
Nikon Coolpix S9200 is only $150 – that’s 50% off.
Alex Koloskov is having a massive 65% sale on his Table Top Studio Photography Training. $94, down from $236. It’s a very popular course.
Canon EOS T4i is $149 off, at $764, which is a very good price.
Seagate 3TB hard drive is only $100, which is almost stupid cheap. I’d buy two.
That’s about all that stands out to me right now. A lot of retailers try to bunch in loads of ‘offers’, which aren’t really offers at all, so try not to get sucked in by them.
Here are their short term offers.
The best discounts are offered when you buy software or memory, because they have the highest mark ups.
I haven’t seen many DSLR cameras or lenses which have offered enough of a discount to justify me rushing into any purchases.
If you need any help with anything, send me an email back and I’ll be happy to help. I will be about for the next couple hours.
Cyber Monday is coming Monday which is an online version of Black Friday (apparently that’s a thing now?), and I will have something else for you then.
Only it’s quite a bit more interesting than what I’ve shared with you today…
PS. It has something to do with the results of the questionnaire I sent out a few weeks ago. Something you may well be looking for…
